We are the Rural Iowa Animal Rescue! We are located in Buchanan County near Rowley, which is just south of Independence.
We are 501c3 certified so all donations are tax deductible. We are raising funds to build our shelter!
The
founder/director of the rescue has lived in Buchanan County her whole life and has always loved animals. There is a big need
for a shelter in Buchanan County and we would love to be the humane society for the county! We are a no-kill shelter and we
will try to take as many farm animals as possible. We are a group of volunteers so please be patient when contacting us. We
might not get back to you right away. As of right now, we do not have an official shelter so there are no set office hours.
